After the long winter break everybody was happy and highly motivated for the first race weekend to begin. Everything went alright in the Friday Test sessions, and the weekend started quite promising with the 9th best lap time of Christijan in Test 1.

In the Qualifying on Saturday the two Futurecom-TME drivers gave their very best. Katherine, who raced for the first time ever in Hockenheim, qualified 19th, Christijan showed an impressing performance in his 2006 Audi A4 DTM and made it to the 14th position on the grid.

In the race Katherine did constant lap times and successfully finished her first DTM race. Her performance through the whole weekend got constantly better and you could see a consistent improvement. Unfortunately Christijan's race was over before it really started. After a contact with Ralf Schumacher, Christian's race came to an unexpected early end due bent front suspension that made the car undriveable. Despite the disfortune he worked together with the team perfectly the whole weekend and is looking forward optimistically to the upcoming weekend in Oschersleben.

The race was won by Mattias Ekström ahead of his two team mates Timo Scheider and Tom Kristensen.
