At the finale at Hockenheim Mattias Ekström in front of a record turnout of 152,000 spectators clinched the DTM title for Audi. After 2004, the Swede won the most popular international touring car racing series for the second time. For AUDI AG, after 1990, 1991, 2002 and 2004, this is already the fifth DTM title. But even for the Futurecom-TME drivers it was a good weekend. Attention should be paid to a very special race that took place Friday evening in front of the Audi VIP Lounge: the first Audi Kettcar Challenge. Vanina and Markus finished second (Markus) and third (Vanina) behind Martin Tomczyk in their affectionately and creative from their mechanics designed Kettcars.

So they started in the Friday Tests highly motivated, what Markus proved with 3rd and 8th best lap time in Test 1 and Test 2. For their last race in season 2007 Markus finished 13th in the Qualifying, as best 2005-spec car driver, and Vanina 20th. 

In the race Markus had to fight hardly with his first set of tyres but nevertheless finished on a respectable 13th position. Vanina crossed the finish line as 18th. The race was won by Jamie Green ahead of Timo Scheider and Mattias Ekström, who also won the DTM title for Audi. 

So the second DTM season for team Futurecom-TME is over. We had ups and downs, continued learning and growing together.
